Grace and Mason

Talk about two kids with looks and personality. We had a great hour at the abandoned House that the cows did in fact live in when it stormed. The poop proved it.

Home on the Ranch

For one month, I put my high heels aside and went back to life in South Dakota. The photography opportunities were amazing. Not many know that South Dakota has the most beautiful skys that an eye could ever witness with sunglasses on. Its science you see, the sky and mountains fight for the attention in life, and years ago, there was a a huge fight and the sky won. South Dakota is where the clouds go to celebrate the victory. And then there was Kadin, this homeless little boy who ran around naked, and enjoyed long rides on the tractor, and bubble baths with diesel.

And then there was the trip to the Strugis motorcycle rally... High heels, a paper license, a broken shoulder and some hail damage. And, once again, great photo opportunities.

Westcott Family

Round two for the Westcott Family portraits. Like this beautiful family was a joy to shoot, even in the misrable heat.

Annie

Annie has been a family friend for years, and I jumped for joy when she announced I would be the lucky photographer to shoot her. I don't know if you have noticed, but Annie is kind-of pretty, a little bit. I will never forget racing to the dam in the rain to get the shots we wanted before the storm really hit. Then there was lightening.... "Wait, it's okay girls are less likely to get struck by lightning right, that is what the Mt. Dew commercial says anyway"..... And so we continued.

Reed

Reed is the sweetest guy anyone will ever meet. The goal was a "classic" senior picture look, and even though I didn't get to be as creative as usual, we had so much fun! He was so much fun to drive around with and scout out locations with, that we didn't want to stop after our time was up! And he looks a little like Harry Potter, minus the lightning scar.

Thank you Reed for making my job so much fun:)

The Two Sides of Kassie

As stated in a previous post, Kassie my 17 year old sister is my muse and one of my favorite people to shoot. I finally got her to agree to a quick photo session to try some new things and experiment a little. She wanted to do the two sides of Kass, and that is what I gave her. I offer hair and make-up as an extra benefit to your photo session. This is highly recommend and these photo give a great example of the variety of make-up looks available and the exquisite finished product.

Washington DC

Hands down, on my list of favorite places in the US. The beautiful weather, the collection of people the history behind the breath taking monuments. The zoo (which was free) had the most amazing vegetarian tigers who could not keep thier paws and teeth and of some grade A, Organic cardboard. Yes cardboard, sounds yummy doesn't it.
